· Providing Necessary Information: Depending upon the problem that causes
a food emergency, we network with other agencies to help our clients find appropriate
options for solutions which return them to self-respecting, contributing members
of our community. Some of those agencies include child care resources, mental
and physical health, shelter options, disability options, legal and immigration
help, elderly assistance, food stamp assistance as well as various other departments
of the Department of Children and Families. We may provide clients with information
on where to find assistance for drug/alcohol treatment, medical care, housing,
domestic abuse protection, job training and employment procurement, or whatever
else is appropriate to resolve the issue.
