Pass It On’s aim is to present a viable solution appropriate to the client’s individual situation so not only his physical but all phases of his needs may be met, thus giving him hope and a “fishing rod instead of a fish.” In order to help provide those solutions, we network with various community and social service organizations. Following are examples of our cooperative connections with these other organizations.

· Local Churches: We assemble cartons of nutritious food (God's Food Boxes), which are distributed to area churches to be given to the homeless or those in an emergency need (when agencies are closed) until referral for help can be made to the appropriate agency. To reach people a different way, more than 16 churches and charities pick up bread, pastries and produce weekly from Pass it On to be distributed by feeding programs in churches or under bridges. More than 5,000 people weekly are being help through this service. Organizations must confirm their eligibility and record/maintain figures of those served.

· Switchboard of Miami and Public Agencies: These organizations refer people whose primary problem is lack of shelter. Pass it On in these cases makes appropriate referrals to housing and social services agencies that can accommodate people based on their need (e.g., short term; long term; safe house).

· Local, State and National Agencies:

· Accepting Referrals: Pass it On accepts referrals from local, state and national welfare agencies including, FEMA, American Red Cross, programs for the elderly, hospitals, and churches covering all socioeconomic categories. It should be noted that more than half of those helped are children. Pass it On Ministries is a Federal and State designated charity and as such is eligible to apply to the State of Florida for government subsidy food and FEMA funding to purchase food.
